This week marked 5 years of this blog! I officially started my blog on March 7, 2011. Looking back 5 years ago, George and I were newly married and living in Irvine, California. A move back to Arizona, grad school, new jobs, and two kids later this blog is still going. My posts have become less frequent in the last couple of years (that's likely b/c of the 2 kids thing), but the pictures have become cuter :) Thank you all for continuing to read...it keeps me motivated to keep updating.
The past couple of weeks have been relatively uneventful. We are moving at a slower pace with a newborn around, which has been great for all of us, except for maybe Madeline...she likes to keep things going at a fast pace! Luke continues to be a really great baby. He's a great eater and sleeper. I've heard people say that bigger babies tend to be easier babies. So far for us, that is true. Madeline, Luke, and I have gotten into a groove during the days while George is at work (I go back to work mid May). We hang out in the loft a lot. I feed Luke on the couch while Madeline plays with her toys. She likes to take our order and then make us lunch :) I try to get out of the house at least once a day, whether it's the park, the library, or some errands. Madeline has also been going to her babysitter's house halftime. It keeps her in a routine and she loves playing with her friends there. It also gives me a chance to get some stuff done around the house and rest when needed. This past week, Madeline has been potty training too! I'm happy to report that she is fully potty trained now. Now she's all about helping change Luke's diaper!
Before I move on to some pictures, I want to give an official shout out on my blog to Hannah and Jeremiah. Last Saturday, they got engaged!!! We are all so excited for them. They are so perfect for each other. I can't wait for their wedding. Check out their latest blog post for all of the engagement details:

Here are some recent pictures of Luke. He's asleep about 70% of the time....
Madeline loves it when he's awake. She sings songs to him...usually "If you're happy and you know it" and "Pat-a-Cake"...she makes him do the hand motions and everything.
Lately, the ice cream truck has been coming around our neighborhood on Friday afternoons. Madeline gets SO excited when it comes by and I can't resist when I see her excitement. So, yes, we paid $2.50 for this very messy Minion ice cream treat! :)
