Poco Loco

I hope everyone is doing well! The kids are asleep (aka the apartment is finally quiet) so I figured that it's about time I update the blog. I'll start with my trip to AZ. Last weekend, I flew to Arizona to surprise my mom for a little retirement celebration. Hannah was on a short break from school so her and Jeremiah were able to fly in as well. My mom actually didn't know that we were coming, which made it even more fun. I'll share the video of the surprise below. After 16 or so years (I need my mom to confirm the exact #), my mom is retiring from Mesa Public Schools. I'm very proud of my mom for all that she has given to Mountain View High School and her students. She takes so much pride in her work, which is something I try to emulate in my own career. I'm so excited for her as she jumps into this new chapter!

Meanwhile back here in PA, George held down the fort. I really appreciated the time away and came back home feeling relaxed and refreshed. It's nice to have a little break every so often. :) Also, I came back to a fully potty trained Luke!! We had been struggling with the potty training for a few weeks and while I was gone, everything clicked and he's been doing great ever since. It's so liberating to go places without having to worry about diapers, wipes, and a change of clothes.

Some other happenings around here...

George and the kids spoiled me on Sunday for Mother's Day. They got up early and went to Wawa to get my favorite coffee drink and a cinnamon roll. Luke and Madeline also made little gifts at daycare. Madeline can't keep a secret and told me all about the gift days before. Haha!

Over the weekend, the kids were obsessed with this box. They sat in it like this for an entire hour while watching cartoons. :)

Luke was home sick the other day with a bug. I was trying to my best to work. Poor Luke was as bored as could be. At a few different points, he packed his backpack and said he was going to school.

I've been saving the best for last. The other night, the kids put on a show for us. They were cracking us up so much with their dance moves!
