Cookie Recipe

We had a great visit with the Moores last week! It is always so nice to have family in town and even more so when I am also off of work -- it felt like I was on vacation too :) We did several family dinners at our various houses and the kids had lots of time to play together. Unfortunately, I didn't take many pictures (others did). I did get this one of "the boys" at church on Easter.

It seems like Luke has gotten so much bigger in the past couple of weeks. All of a sudden he isn't looking as newborn-ish as he was before. Why do they grow so fast?! In the past week or so he has started giving us lots of smiles. We all love it and have spent lots of time sitting around trying to get him to smile. Madeline is loving on her brother SO much these days. We have to remind her not to wake him up with her hugs and kisses.

One of the perks of my maternity leave is more cousin time for Madeline. We've been able to get together with Terrisa, Paisley, and Parker quite a bit recently. On Wednesday morning, Terrisa had a meeting for work so Paisley and Parker came over to play. It too warm to play outside (90s!!!) and the kids were getting antsy so we decided to bake some cookies. I have been wanting to make a treat for George to bring into his team at work anyway. I recently saw a recipe online for delicious looking "bakery style" chocolate chip cookies so we gave those a whirl. We were all glad we did because they were amazing cookies!! Here are some pics and the recipe...

LOVE this picture of the three kids...

Here is the recipe....

Biggest cookies ever, huh? They were very soft and chewy...definitely "bakery style"! You should try them. I've been eating healthy so I had to QUICKLY get them out of my house. In fact, that afternoon, Madeline, Luke, and I took a drive to George's work to drop them ALL off! I couldn't take the temptation any longer.
