Well, I am officially feeling pregnant! I can't believe how much my belly has grown in the past month. It's so weird because I hardly even noticed that I was getting bigger, but then all of a sudden my bump was huge. Funny how that happens. As of today, I am 7 months along. October will be here before we know it, I'm sure!
Over the weekend, I started working on some projects for the nursery. I recovered a hassock, made a fabric pennant banner to hang on the wall, and am in the middle of making a pillow for the rocker. We also had Mike, the painter, come over last week to paint the nursery among other things (second coat in our kitchen and loft and master bedroom and bathroom too). I like the way everything turned out......except the nursery. We picked a really light yellow and it is too bright. I'm just not a fan (neither is George) so we are going to repaint. I still need to figure out the new color, but it will probably be a neutral of some sort. After we repaint, I will post some pictures of the different projects.
This weekend, we went to Hale Theater in Gilbert for the first time (with Hannah, Jeremiah, Emily, and my parents). We saw Hairspray...Terrisa went with her GA friends the weekend before. It is a very small theater in the round, but the show was really entertaining! The singing was great. We had dinner beforehand at Postino East (yum)! I think we will definitely go back to Hale Theater. The two upcoming shows that caught my eye were Oklahoma and The Christmas Carol.
On Sunday evening, we had George's family over for dinner. His mom and grandma had fun singing along as George played the piano. We actually got a new (used) piano recently so George has been playing a lot more lately. This piano is much better than our old one or so George tells me (since I don't know anything about pianos)...it does have beautiful sound!

Happy Birthday Terrisa!
On Saturday night, we hosted Terrisa's 30th birthday party. Brian was the mastermind behind the party (the party wasn't a surprise, but the theme was). He orchestrated a murder mystery party. We all had roles/characters and corresponding info on each character. At the party, we got more info on our character. I was so surprised at how into character everyone got -- the costumes were awesome!
Here is the birthday girl (aka Rosie Marie, the owner of the speakeasy)
George was the Chief of Police....aka the MURDERER!....yes, George killed Notorious Nick (Brent)
Brent after the murder :)
The mayor and his wife
Terrisa's Georgia friends came into town to hang out and celebrate her birthday (Heather in the middle and Lindsey on the right)
Aren't the costumes awesome?!
We made some appetizers for the party (not a shabby spread!)
My mom and Hannah made some delicious desserts
And, of course it wouldn't have been a speakeasy without some drinks!
Finally, here are a couple of group shots. The entire group minus a couple that had to leave early...
The gentlemen...
Before I go to bed, I wanted to ask you all for prayers for our friend Nick. On Sunday, Nick was admitted to the ICU (after over a week of being very sick). Yesterday, he was told that he will need to get a transplant. Today, he had surgery to get all set up for dialysis, which starts tomorrow. Anyway, anyone who knows us knows that Nick is George's best friend and someone that we both care a lot about. Pray for his family (sister Natalie, Mom Jill, and Dad Pat) too.

Vacation Pictures
For all of my non-Facebooking friends out there, here are some pictures from our recent travels. George and I are both off of work today. Good thing too b/c we didn't arrive home until 4:30am this morning. It was almost 24 hours of traveling. It was all worth it though. We had a great vacation with family. I have some more pictures that I will post later as well.
Caleb and Paisley...I love Caleb's expression in the photo on the right :)
Peggy's Cove in Halifax, Canada was beautiful. George has some better pictures that I will post later.
Hugs! In the bottom picture they were jumping up and down at the sight of a garbage truck. I think Caleb was actually excited about the truck and Paisley was just excited because Caleb was excited.
Ice cream cones (she wanted to do "cheers" with George in the photo on the left)
Brian and Terrisa doing some salsa dancing on the ship!
Last night with our waiter, Cesar :)
Caleb celebrated his 2nd birthday on board the ship. As you can see, Paisley reaped the benefits. They both enjoyed their banana splits, to say the least!
The ship!
Me as we were leaving the ship. The backpack balanced me out!

On Vacation!
We're officially on vacation!! George and I both have off for the next 12 days! I don't think we've had this much time off since our wedding/honeymoon two and a half years ago. I just have a paper between me and complete relaxation....and packing :) That's what tomorrow is for.
We will be on the move starting on Friday. On Friday morning, George and I are driving up to Las Vegas. We will spend the day there with Sergio and Andi (who are also driving in from CA) and our other friends from here, Brittany and Shay (who also happen to be going to Vegas on Friday morning). The plan is to get there by 11am so we have the entire day/evening to hang out. We are staying at the Hilton Elara which is formally the Planet Hollywood Towers. It will be our first time staying there, but it looked pretty nice and there is no resort fee (most Vegas hotels have a $25/night resort fee which I think is ridiculous).
On Saturday afternoon, Brian, Terrisa, Paisley, Emily, George, and I fly from Vegas to Boston. We are flying in/out of Vegas because we had free Airtran tickets from last summer and Airtran no longer flies in/out of Phoenix. We arrive in Vegas late Saturday night and will do touristy stuff Sunday and Monday.
On Tuesday, we board our cruise ship and take off to Canada for 5 days! I was doing the math and I think we have 25 people going on the cruise. I'm can't wait :)
I had a Dr. appointment today. It was actually my first appointment with the actual doctor. She seems really great....she took the time to really go over my chart and the details of what to expect during the third trimester. I really appreciated her thoroughness since we really don't know anything about having a baby! We also signed up for a birthday class in mid-August. All was right on track and normal.
I haven't really mentioned anything about names on here! We do have it narrowed down to two names: Madeline Marie Lucas and Avery Marie Lucas. Marie is after George's sister and both first names are names that we just like. We really can't decide so if we still can't decide by the time she is born, we will just wait until she is born and see what she looks like to us.
Well, off to bed. Have a great July 4th tomorrow and I'll see many of you soon! :)
