Disney World Trip 2018

Time to play blog catch-up! Last I posted, we were headed to Disney World. The trip was wonderful, minus a really rough travel day home. I'll spare you the details, but long story short, both kids had a stomach bug. We're blocking that part out and only remembering the 5 days before that, which were awesome. :)

I took a million pictures on the trip. Looking back on them, makes me smile so much. The kids truly had the time of their lives.

Pumped up for Disney!!

Even the Orlando airport was exciting! :)

Getting ready to board the Magical Express from the Orlando airport to Disney World!

It was probably 10PM by the time we arrived to the hotel, but the kids were over the moon and wide awake!!

The first morning at Pop Century (where we stayed one night), before we headed over to the Polynesian (where we stayed the rest of the trip)

We got quite the greeting at the Polynesian

First park: Hollywood Studios

I think we did just about every ride and show at Hollywood Studios. The kids especially loved the shows. Beauty and the Beast was Madeline's favorite and Luke loved Indiana Jones. Madeline also did Jedi Training at Hollywood Studios. She was SO into it and did a great job. Watching her do it was a highlight of the trip for George and I.

We took a break from the parks to have a pool day! The kids were obsessed with the pool at the Polynesian. It has three water slides. Madeline went on the big slide over and over and over.
Love this picture of Madeline applying Luke's sunscreen.

The Polynesian had some fun activities for Halloween including the Pineapple Run. It was just a mile and all participants got a coupon for a free dole whip, so obviously I did it! ;)

Like last time, the kids slept so well on the trip. That's the result of long days and tons of walking and playing! Another big benefit to staying at the Polynesian was that we could see the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our balcony. A couple of the nights, we left the park before fireworks and watched from our room instead.

Trick or Treating at the Polynesian!

Second park: EPCOT

We didn't go back for a nap during our EPCOT day, but Luke took a long nap in the stroller. He was hot and took off his shirt! :)

Madeline's favorite ride at EPCOT was definitely Test Track. Last year, she wasn't quite tall enough to ride, but this year she was.

We did dining with the princesses at Norway in EPCOT. It was a convenient way to see a bunch of them without waiting in lines.

Turtle Talk...one of the cutest attractions at EPCOT

Last park: Magic Kingdom

We were able to get into the Magic Kingdom before the park officially opened because we had a breakfast reservation at Be Our Guest. It worked out so well because we were able to ride Madeline's favorite ride, Seven Dwarves Mine Train (which typically has a super long line), several times before the park opened.

Our Magic Kingdom day was busy! We hit all of the big rides and shows and went back to the hotel for a nap. The kids really needed it that day.

We ended the day with an ice cream on Main Street and fireworks.

It'll probably be at least a couple of years before we go back to Disney World, but we're already looking forward to it.
